The boys of spring

Yesterday was the first practice game of the baseball season for my two sons and I.  My oldest son Landon is now 6 years old and in his 3rd baseball season.  He is in a coach pitch division.  My 4 year old son Bradley, is in his first year and is playing T-ball.  I coach both teams and have been coaching Landon in baseball and soccer for 4 years now.  Every year I am just totally pumped by how much fun it is to coach kids in little league, let alone your own children.  It was a spectacular Florida day in the 70's, the fields with their red dirt infields and green, green outfields were beautiful.  The parents were cheering and the kids were having a blast.  It does not get any better than this.  I know soccer is a great game, but there is a reason why baseball is our national pastime.  By the way both of my boys played really well and both their Mom and I were very proud of them.  We don't keep score or anything but they had a good time and that is what counts.  I can't wait for the rest of the season.
